Featured Wedding: Nora and Dave 7/20/13

July was a very hot month.  If you remember, the heat index remained in the 90s and even 100s for the entire month leaving little relief even when the sun went down.  Nora and Dave put a lot of planning and details into their wedding day, they took into account the hot weather and were sure to provide their guests with customized fans and lots of cold beer.  The color palate was simply elegant with yellow and gray and beautiful white floral arrangements for centerpieces and bouquets.  A very decadent meal was prepared by the talented cooks at A Thyme to Cook and as a cool off treat following the ceremony, Vicchitos Italian Ice was served!

Nora got ready at the mansion…
Nora and Dave were such a fun couple!  The weather was a bit precarious that July afternoon and we were all watching the radar to see if we could avoid the rain for a ceremony on the vista.  There was a bit of a drizzle in the early part of their day so the first look was done under the portico in the front of the mansion.

Here is their reaction to the rain tapering off…

… and look at this adorable flower girl!

The ceremony was delayed a little bit to wait for the clouds to clear but look how beautiful the sky was when Nora walked down the aisle.

After the ceremony, the guests stayed cool with fans, italian ice and cool drinks

Nora and Dave had their first dance under the Sperry tent on the patio

And the guests moved inside to dance the night away in the air conditioned loggia.
