Featured Wedding – William and Kate 5/5/13

On Sunday, May 5th, for the first time of the season the sun warmed the air and filled the mansion and its grounds with warm rays of light.  As we opened the mansion and started setting up for Will and Kate’s wedding we kept commenting on how perfect the weather was.  And it really was perfect, setting the stage for one of the most quintessential spring weddings we’ve hosted.

William and Kate are from Maryland so Kate’s mother orchestrated a lot of the planning.  With the help of Marissa from Jordan’s Catering and our staff, Kate was able to have the wedding of her dreams all while living in another state!  Kate’s colors were perfectly matched to a springtime palate with an array of seasonal flowers.  She even had a grass tray to hold the place cards!  Kate gave credit to some of her inspiration from Pinterest, and we think they were all great ideas.

The ceremony was set up on the vista, ready for guests to watch Will and Kate say “I Do”
They decided to have their “first look” on the carriage drive.

Then they were able to take full advantage of the mansions grounds for couple and bridal party pictures

Finally, it was time to walk down the isle to the music of a four string quartet.

The rest of the party went off beautifully with friends and family dining then dancing the day away.
Congratulations to Will and Kate and thank you for allowing us the privilege of hosting your wedding!
